FLÖ is currently an oppositional faction within the ÖH. Therefore, our main tasks are overseeing the executive factions, submitting motions, and collaborating with other factions in the Federal Representation, the committees, and the chairpersons' conferences.
List Spokespersons
The list spokespersons represent the faction externally and are the central point of contact for students, other factions, and the ÖH. They coordinate internal communication, lead faction meetings, and are responsible for the political strategy and positioning of the list.
The role also includes representing the faction in the university representation, during negotiations, and at public appearances.
Mandate Holders
The mandate holders are the directly elected representatives of FLÖ within the ÖH. Their main task is democratic opinion-forming and fulfilling the statutory duties of the ÖH at the federal level. As voting members, they decide on all fundamental positions, the budget, and the statutes of the ÖH.
Additionally, they exercise a supervisory function over the chair team and the officers. They can submit oral and written inquiries on all matters of the ÖH and review all official written documents.
University/College Chairpersons' Conference
The chairpersons' conferences represent the interests of the local student unions at the federal level. They are established per type of higher education institution.
The departmental student lists provide the chairs of the ChCo for universities and the ChCo for colleges of applied sciences.
Committees
As an oppositional faction in the Austrian Students' Union, one of our most important tasks is participating in committees on various topics.
